Hi, I’m Kelsee
My love for baking started long before Baked by Kelsee. I’ve spent more than 15 years working in the culinary world, including 8 years as a Pastry Chef at 801 Chophouse in Des Moines. After stepping away from the restaurant industry, I found my way back to what I’ve always loved: creating delicious things from scratch and sharing them with people.
Baked by Kelsee started as a passion project and has grown into my little micro bakery in Winterset, Iowa. I specialize in handmade sourdough breads, creative flavored loaves, sweet treats, and seasonal bakes - all made in small batches with quality ingredients and a whole lot of love.
I’m a firm believer that bread should be both delicious and fun. Whether it’s a classic artisan loaf, a loaf packed with jalapeño cheddar, or something completely new that I’ve dreamed up in my kitchen, I love putting my own spin on sourdough.
When I’m not baking, you’ll usually find me chasing after my little girl, working on my other creative projects, or dreaming up what I’m going to bake next.
